BIOGRAPHY
PIANIST | ACCOMPANIST | PIANO TEACHER
Elizabeth Damianova-Symons was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, into family of well-known musicians. Her father is a well-respected symphony orchestra soloist on the Oboe; and her mother is an Opera singer and voice training teacher. Her sister who is an accomplished Opera singer as well performs at many opera concert halls around Bulgaria and Europe.
Ms. Damianova-Symons started taking piano lessons at the age of six and received her early music instruction at the renowned National Music School "Lubomis Pipkov" in Sofia, Bulgaria. Ms. Damianova-Symons completed her piano studies in 1995, and graduated with an Honors Master's Degree from the Academy of Music, Dance, and Fine Arts, Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
Having embarked upon an international career, she has been performing in many European countries, the Middle East (Dubai), and the United States. She performs either as a piano soloist or in different musical ensembles. Ms. Damianova-Symons has lived in the United States since 2013. She welcomes opportunities to perform or provide accompaniment for theater and dance productions, places of worship, and vocal performances, as well as providing entertainment at public or private events.
In addition to being accomplished and versatile pianist, Ms. Damianova-Symons has been teaching piano privately for many years in various countries around the world.
